can we do parametric modelling of dead non parametric model....?
i want to generate 3d parametric modelling of non parametric dead model which is in igs or step format.....that is reverse engg
please tell me any method so we cant maintain any link with dead model...

check "partdesign feature recognize" tool bar in part design. it will help you if you don't have so complex model. (only for solid body)
