Cannot select object below a sketch for reference plane construction (SW2018)
I am trying to learn Solidworks (2018). I have a bizarre (and simple) problem.
I created a curve inside a sketch.
Now I want to create a reference plane which I want it to be normal to the curve's endpoint (the curve resides inside a sketch).
When I go to the First Reference field to start to create my plane, I cannot select my sketch (and not anything that lies inside the sketches, lines, curves, points, etc.
Simply the sketch is hidden and also not selectable. This should be so trivial in other CAD programs that need no effort nor playing with any option
Any ideas?

You may be hiding the display of everything be default.
Look at the eyeball button in the Heads Up toolbar (image attached). I believe it hides everything when it is active. Turn it off and see f it works better.
