Convert .dwg to .ipt or .stp
Can anyone convert this file into a part or step file or explain how to do so please? I only have autodesk inventor.

As CadCloud mentioned, this could take a rather long time to convert to a step file. Not much actual work is involved, it is just the PC running and creating files for a long time.
Attached is a screenshot, and step model of a sample piece. It is one of the doors. Check it out and see if it is going to be useful.
Some other parts come in with some surface data, but most appear to import as 3D curves.
open dwg with the options import.
then you must choose to open it as a Part not drawing.
then it takes a long time till its finished and a lot of resources
