How do I import a CAD file into Simulink and MATLAB?
For a school project, I have to use Simulink and Matlab to help create a 3D chess game. I'm in charge of making all the pieces and integrating them with Matlab through Simulink. Modeling is a piece of cake, but integration is not. Does anybody know how to import a CAD model into Simulink? The MathWorks site is, as usual, worthless and doesn't really give a straight answer.
Please help!

e19 11 months agounder block parameters,click on visualization tab>body geometry>scroll down to external graphic file browse to your cad file ie .STL

Kosala 10 months agoIn that case you may need Simmechanics Link software in addition to Simulink. Refer below link for more details.
