How to create configuration in Catia?

I have been working with Solidworks since 2 years, and there it is ease to make new derived configuration. But now, I am learning Catia. In this program how can I create new configuration. For example if I create a hydraulic cylinder. I want to see both open and closed appearances. Please help me.

You have to use DMU Kinematics.
