plz help

Hello Aditya!
You must consider that the answers of GrabCAD colleagues are often generated in the absence of the context of the problem that has been raised. Therefore, criticisms like those of Carlos and Steen (with which I agree) arise that can become relativized in certain contexts.

For example, it seems that your professor "for some unknown reason" has used the ISO "E" projection system, taking some licenses (perhaps justified by said context).

One of them is the choice of the three main views that, in general, are the ones boxed in red in the image (front view, top view and right side view). He adopted other views, but that does not imply that they are incorrect.

Even the choice of the front view often gives rise to different representations. There are pieces or structures that leave no doubt as to which is their front, side or top (especially if they are fixed in space). Other times the choice is for the view that offers the greatest amount of detail about the piece (which perhaps forms part of a mechanism where it does not always have a preferred position). However, there is no "strict and unique" recipe to define the front view and, consequently, the rest of the views. It is something often very arbitrary.

Another thing that he did is to represent in each view "only some hidden lines" and not all the ones that correspond to the model. This is something common in certain types of pieces, in which if you show "all the hidden lines" the drawing becomes too complicated and you don't contribute anything. On the other hand, if you only draw the essential ones to define the geometry, everything seems simpler (even if it is not perfectly framed in the standards) and anyone will realize that some hidden lines have been omitted "on purpose".

Anyway, these comments are for you to keep in mind that not everything is 1+1=2 although, relaxing the drawing rules is something that should be done only when the practical benefit outweighs the predictability of the formalism!

Just wanted to share what is wrong with the drawing in my opinion (based on what I learned in the 1980's before CAD). I don't have a problem with the use of first angle projection, which was/is standard in Europe, but:
1) The measure lines and the outlines have identical size and have no gaps. The outline should be heavy and the measure lines should be light and there has to be a gap between the object and the measure lines.
2) There are duplicate dimensions.
3) The dimension placements are ugly and non-sensical. E.g. Why indicate dimensions to hidden edges when the actual edge is visible in the neighbouring view and can be used instead?
4) There should be no dimensions inside the object.
5) Some hidden lines are visible but not all, why?
6) Obviously the lower right view is wrong, showing that this is made in illustration software rather than with CAD.
<sarcasm>
Apart from these details, it's a nice drawing

To everyone who thinks that the drawing is fine, look at this bad boy:

Olá Aditya, tudo bem?

O desenho está um pouco confuso, concordo, mais tem uma vista em "3D" oque ajuda;

Bom vou tentar explicar como eu modelaria:

1.º Eu criaria uma "peça base", para servir de referência e partir as dimensões finais; essa peça pode ser um "bloco" com as dimensões maiores (C=110+36 x H=90 x P=72);

2.º Vamos começar a remover algumas áreas; sendo a primeira: (C=110 x H=90-25 x P=72);

3.º Vamos remover a área; sendo a segunda: (C=12 x H=90-24-24 x P=72);

4.º Vamos remover a área circular; sendo a terceira: (R=30 x Lc=48 x P=12);

5.º Vamos remover a área do furo; sendo a quarta: (Ø=24 x P=Passante);

6.º Vamos remover a área do rebaixo inferior; sendo a quinta: (C=73 x H=6 x P=50);

7.º Por fim, vamos remover a área oblonga; sendo a última: (C=62 x H=25 x P=72-24-24);

E Fim!

Bom Espero Ter Ajudado!
