How to make this cut by revolution?

Ok, I need to cut that material off. It'll run only till some point, before the last arc. I tried to use the normal lines and the "to construct" lines that start at the face, no one worked. What should I try?

I feel like the screenshots are helpful, but I can't figure out what material is being removed, or where the revolve cut feature is meant to be.

My best guess is to suggest cutting only one side at a time to start with. The part looks symmetrical, so mirroring the feature, or the entire part later is an option.

Can you indicate in the images where the material is being removed?
Can you upload the model?

As said, it's a bit hard to tell what the desired end result is. But, looking at this; you have a path, you have a section... are you sure revolve is necessary? And, how are you manufacturing this piece? That may drive things...

please make a hand sketch of the desired end result, or make annotations and marking of the provided pictures.

I don't want to just agree with the other (3) answers, but it's not completely clear what you're trying to remove/accomplish.

That said, from the given geometry and the visible sketches, you're definitely going to have to cut only one side, if using the revolve, and then mirror or repeat with the opposite side. This will require you to edit your sketch to only a single side OR to edit (1) side of the current sketch to all reference (construction) geometry. This is because a revolved cut will look at the sketch as a whole and then revolve it around a single axis - from what I can extract from these images you want the same "cut" on both of the "arms" (let's call them arms) and you won't achieve that in a single feature.

I'd also like to add that from the geometry and sketches, you might actually be after a sweep cut - a profile cut along a given path. With some more information regarding what you expect the end result to be I can help you with either of these methods. The sweep, if it can accomplish what you're after, will leave your tree cleaner as it will be achieved in a single feature (no mirroring or duplicate feature)...

Hope this helps!

It seems that what you need is a swept material removal.
