How to prevent scetch driven pattern from twisting?

So i'm modeling a bicycle. I've made two sprockets and a chain link. In the assembly, I created a 3d sketch (and fitted a spline to the closed sketch) that surrounds both of them and used a chain pattern to autofill the rest of the links.
BOTH SPROCKETS ARE PARALLEL BUT NOT ON THE SAME PLANE, yet the top part of the chain looks great and the bottom twists around itself. How do I prevent the bottom from twisting?? Thanks!

Hello,
I'm not sure what the problem is, but I think it is related to the distance between the sprocket planes and the definition of the 3D spline that represents the path of the chain (its changes in direction and total length).
I share an image in which I considered the theoretical length of the spline to calculate the length of the links, and tried forcing its amount and also the automatic option (fill path).
I notice that small adjustments to the length of the links cause rotations like the ones you see in your model. For ease, I chose to modify the length of the links, but the most correct thing would be to touch up the length of the chain (spline).
I'm not saying it's the source of your problem, but I could check it.
Greetings!
