Importing Catia Files into Catia V6

When importing random Catia Files from GrabCad to Catia V6, The files never have any history on them, it is just isolated surfaces. This makes it impossible to learn from the files. Is this because of some wrong settings, or does V6 do that?

Are those files v6 files or v5?
