Reviews on NextEngine 3D scanner

I've recently came across a website advertising a 3D scanner for $ 3,000.00.It is called the NextEngine 3D laser scanner. The website depicts the machine to be quite easy to use and produce very accurate results. I'm interested in purchasing this machine to do 3d scans for woodworking hardware and complex trim as well as various complex parts. Has anyone used this scanner? If so, what are some positive & negative reviews of the product?

Hi, we have one, and it's good for bringing 3d templates into cad but if you want to reverse engineer you need a better software. Or a more expensive scanner. there is also problems with holes and gaps. But for the price it's a good device, but not a profesional tool.
