Solidworks cosmos meshing - does element tolerance affect the results?

I'm trying to test a grappler type assembly, and I have 2 different versions - one extra beefy and 1 extra light. Problem is that while the mesh size is similar(6mm), the tolerance is different - beefy model has a tolerance of 0.25 and extra light model has a tolerance of 0.1. Does the smaller tolerance affect results?

Yes, if the mesh tolerance is nor small enough, the mesh will not map well to the part. Past a certain tolerance it makes no difference. For example in the part below there is no difference in mesh between a tolerance of .01 and .001, but you can see the difference between .2 and .01.
