Spring design, Rebuild function

I designed the spring. The spring is connected at both ends on the plates (Mate functions). When I pull the upper plate up or down, the spring does not stretch unless I click on the Rebuilt option. What should I do to make it work without Rebuilt option?

I should work ok in animation section?
