  Tutorial to make bevel gear in Catia V5

  1. Step 1

     Sketch an involute gear on xy plane

     

  2. Step 2

     Sketch an inclined line on a plane perpendicular to xy plane

     

  3. Step 3

     Sketch a vertical line may be in the same plane but in a different sketch

     

  4. Step 4

     Revolute the line drawn earlier using the vertical line as axis.

     

  5. Step 5

     Project the profile made in first step on the revolute surface.

     

  6. Step 6

     Create a plane parallel to the xy plane

     

  7. Step 7

     Invoke a sketch on the newly created plane

     

  8. Step 8

     Make a sketch on a perpendicular plane

     

  9. Step 9

     Create another revolute surface

     

  10. Step 10

      Project the sketch made on plane1 on to the revolute surface.

      

  11. Step 11

      Use multisection surface

      

  12. Step 12

      Split out the unnecessary parts.
