You can also use the wrap feature to wrap text or other sketch on a cylindrical or conical surfaces and do it as an emboss, deboss or scribe. You may need to convert text to curve first if it has intersecting profiles. See my model 'the one ring' for one means of wrapping onto a compound curved surface.
