what is the use of engine cover panel under bonnet in vehicles?
which material is used in it? does it give only an aesthetic look to the engine or any other?

Partly looks, possibly air flow optimization, preventing engine heat from damaging hood paint. Some older cars had felt or fiberglass like insulation glued to the inside/bottom of the hood for that reason.
