What would you use CAD on a mobile tablet device for?

Hi, just a quick question to see what the various forum users would use CAD on a mobile tablet device for, or would you find it useful at all in your current workflow?

Thanks for any info.

Just for fun at this moment.

Would your response be any different if you had all of the daily functions of your normal desktop CAD station on a tablet device? And a method of control that allowed you accurate, quick and useful interaction with those functions?

YES! Construction plans are bulky, and because of CAD dimentions are sketchy. I use a laptop and netbook, depending on situation, also there are Microsoft CE programs for CAD, but a tablet with touch screen (commands) for CAD would be the cat's meow!

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment. We feel exactly the same way about netbooks, laptops and construction plans......it is a pain and we are working really hard to address that problem.

If you haven't already done so, check out our website (www.orangejuicestudios.com) for more info and subscribe to be updated in functionality an release dates - also we would really appreciate any comments or feedback on our thinking and idea's......learning is a two way street!!

Hi OJ.
People most use the portable devices because they are easier to carry in a bag.So, if you're a construction engineer or an architect, what gadget probably you'll take with you on the construction site?
The best option would be a laptop or probably a netbook, the worst option would a smart phone and probably, the most useful choice would be a tablet!
So I think that people who travel around the globe or spend their time on a construction site would carry a tablet for viewing drawings.
