Hinges are really a pain to work with. Sometimes everything is perfect in theory but when the part is injected it doesn't work at all... A little tip I can share is to always try to put the gate parallel to the hinge's line of movement, so the plastic flow across the hinge area without any major disturbances. And you can also try to create a little radius on the corners of the hinge, guiding the flow to a single path.

Only the PP material will have the hinge property.
the hinge design will be made by considering the stationary half thickness and moving half profile.
If you post the deatils of your product let me share my ides.
Don't put less then 0,5 thickness, use PP with or without talc inside.
Also you can check/play the flow by software. It should be parallel flow in them mold.
