Have you tried 3Dxml? Not sure if Matlab can accept.

hello, I have just install simscape, and imported an assembly to Mat lab

at first you should confirm that the simscape version you have enrolled, be match by your Mat lab

and Not only it doesn't need to use "save as" command!, but also you must refer to Tool bar, Si mechanic Links, and export it to Sim Mechanic Generation. the M file and simscape block diagram will create automatically

I also have same problem I have robot arm and i want to import that via simscape but neither i can find XML not export option in my solidworks.

matlab does not support that file

what sould i do to fix the problem please ?
