Done in around 50 hours as a project to improve surface modeling techniques.

The LED appearance can be achieved by coloring the surface / solid using the pallet of colors in appearance, and selecting 'transparent' option in the drop down selection tab. ( dull shiny ect) then apply white led or neon light to the inside surface. This then gives the bright light effect desired though the desired transparent color you selected.
