Axis to axis Transformation

Hello guys,

can anyone please explain this situation for me ? I have a body, which needs to be moved with Axis to axis transformation from Absolute Axis Sysytem either to Axis Sytem.2 or .3, due to the value from the parameter "trans":

1. trans=true => Axis to axis transformation.3=true, Axis to axis transformation.4 =false
2. trans=false=> Axis to axis transformation.3=false, Axis to axis transformation.4 =true

At this point I find no relation between Axis to axis transformation.3 and .4 but CATIA defines that is a Parent/Children. So I can't delete .3 without affect on .4

Why is there a Parent/Children relation and how can it be removed (or maybe pass-by methode) ?

With this simple ex. I can easily uncheck "Delete all children"by deleting the unactivated transformation.3, but in a more complex structure it would be hard.

Thank you.

It seems that both formulas are children of the parameter (parent).

Delete both formulas to remove the relationship

Hi Jack Knapp,
with this ex there is no more formula, but the relation is still there.

Both branches of the tree are still there (Parameters and Relations) but both are empty; based on the second attachment, there are no parameters and no forumulas in this model.

In my earlier answer, I used the term "relationship" to mean "links" - sorry for the confusion.

Edit+Links should show the current model has no links.
