cannot automatically dimension drawing of square to round
hi everyone im trying to automatically dimension a square to round using the model items command, and keep getting this message, no dimensions are inserted, dimensions of the plane 1( which is my circle extrude) feature are not inserted because they are not parallel to the drawing view. thankyou for any answers. also any ideas on how to get proportion in the tags on drawing thankyou.

Automatic dimensions for drawings are derived from the actual inserted dimensions in the the part drawing itself. Pattern and array dimensions do not always transfer to the drawing state. i have found that sheet metal part dims do not translate to drawings well either. The more thorough you are with your sketch dims, the better the automatic dims translate to the drawing.
