I have been using solidworks for a while, I started using it for mechanical designs. Yesterday someone asked me If i could design their house (Interior only, walls, furniture...)
Would it be a good idea to use Solidworks?
What software do interior designers use?
Why don't just use google Sketch Up? It's free (plus very user friendly) and a lot of model in the 3D Warehouse library.
Well, Sketchup is quite limited(At least for me),
I was looking for something more professional like 3ds or Revit (BIM, I know)
also, I need to render my stuff
But thanks for your help
you could try Archicad, Autodesk Architecture, or Chief Architect (or the chepest version Home Designer)...
I ask myself for a trial last year for Chief Architect, and could say is very userfriendly ..
in Archicad you could use any 3DMax furniture&Co model, found on the net (but this way make your file bigger)
Hello, I have always have used SolidWorks is very complete and has several modules. However currently use different software but totally compatible. On this page you can learn to use the software and make interior design.
