Group Members

How about GrabCAD having a group section? My head lecturer asked me the other day if they had such a thing on GrabCAD as he was impressed with this site when I showed him. It would be good for schools, Colleges and Universities to have there groups, so that all the students could upload there models. This way other schools, Colleges and Universities could see what each projects other students were working on. It would also open up the doors for more members and after they go into industry they would take GrabCAD with them leading to more open doors within the industry. Win win situation for members and GrabCAD.

Good idea even have like a group homepage where you could collaborate with colleagues and share necessary files for group projects.

Now that is very interesting Adam - that would be great if GrabCAD could make that possible..... Auto Desk to it for Students but there only get Auto Desk software users on there sites. GrabCAD is a multi plat formed software site so I would imaging if GrabCAD started to get involved and helping students and peoples education, then within a year or two of doing it will be right up there with Auto Desk now that would be a great :))))))

I guess it would Robert, but a think the idea of GrabCAD moving forward and getting involved with peoples educations would be a step in the right direction to set this web site and community apart from other CAD web sites on the net.

good idea ... for students that's it! that teachers often fail to keep up with new ideas - and the students have something to highlight from this site:)

I know a few teachers @ my College would get involved with it and not only do teachers, teach student's but some times students can teach, teachers as well as teachers have not always got the time to go and find and learn new stuff as they are so busy with trying to educate us and mark our work. 99%of teachers want there students to do well and succeed so I would imaging 99%of teachers would get involved with this as well with there students if GrabCAD had this option. It could even go further by Colleges working with other Colleges on projects.

I agree. I think groups would be a great thing to have for members. I like Adams idea of shareable files that could be edited/replaced by group members. You would probably want have to have a group "leader(s)" to moderate the groups and keep the files in order.

Great Idea about the leaders to moderate the group/groupes....
