I am new to SolidWorks and need some assistance. I have attached a picture of a machine, and I’m specifically looking to create the cover for it in SolidWorks (not the internal components, just the outer cover). use any dimension fit you.
If anyone has experience with similar designs or can guide me through the process, I’d really appreciate your help!

You have to divide your modeling step by step.
There is plenty of approach, but for a beginner, the easiest way is to work with solid and basic feature like extrude, cut, and filet.
Your model can be divided in 2, the main body (a basic rectangle with fillet), and a top sleeve
Main body:
1 Create a sketch from the top view, basically a rectangle with 4 filets
2 Extrude the part using mid body feature
3 add filet
Sleeve:
1 Create a ref surface from the top surface of the main body
2 Create top view sketch of the sleeve on this ref surface, including the rib to make the link with the main body
3 Extrude rib and top sheet of the sleeve
Adding detail
1 use an extrude cut thin feature to mimic the join, from the first sketch
2 add extra fillet
all other details can easily be added using the same technique.
