how to convert .stp file into catpart

want to convert .stp file to .catpart

just open the .stp file and "save as". But .stp files are alwasy "dumb" there is no history tree.

By the way, if you want with history to update easily you can open via solidworks.
It can create from .stp file a history automatically.
