I WOULD LIKE TO MODEL THIS IN SOLID-WORKS,CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN HOW TO START

This is quite a simple model to make, you can use a series of extruded bosses and extruded cuts. So start off with the basic shape and then build up the smaller parts. See the example images below:
