Isolating components in Solidworks

By Cody Cecchetto on 03 Jul 13:57 2 answers 2162 views 0 comments

Having trouble isolating components in a PART file. I know how to isolate in an assembly but can't seem to break the parent/child bond between certain components to isolate them. Tried hiding/suppressing features that are in the way but it hides/suppresses features I don't want hidden/suppressed.

Make the part as a multi-bodied part (do not 'merge result'. In the list of bodies, right click on the body you want to isolate and select 'Isolate'.
