i am a new solidworks user and i had a problem of converting my solidworks part into an extension that can be used in the 3D printer and the CNC machines and i don't know the way so if you please can any one guide me to how it can be done ?

i heard it can be changed through the .stl file

    'save as' .stl for most 3d printing situations

    'save as' .step, or .iges for most CNC machining (and other non-3d printing) situations

    each has 'options' worth exploring, which can make refinements to the output if necessary.
