In this tutorial - modal analysis for fork part.

Simulation carried out in FreeCAD FEM workbench.

Mechanical B.C.: fixed on bottom.
Material: Aluminium 1060
FreeCAD Options:
Solver CCX Standard
Mesh Netgen optimized
(second order)
Simulation results are eigenvalues: forms and frequencies.

1. Step 1: Modal analysis steps

   
   

   Basic steps carried out in this demo are:

   
   

   0) Create OR import any part in FreeCAD

   1) Choose FreeCAD FEM Workbench

   2) create Analysis container

   3) apply material Aluminium Generic

   4) Fixed constraint bottom side

   5) FEM Mesh from shape from Netgen (2nd Order)

   6) Select under Mechanical analysis type: frequency

   

   
   

   7) Write .inp Files und Run Solver 

   8) View Results: Eigenforms and frequencies
