Step 1: Web Feature
The web feature in Fusion 360 is a powerful tool for creating thin, extruded features.
1. Create a Sketch: Choose a face or plane where you want the web to be located. Create a sketch on that face or plane. Draw the profile of the web you want to create using lines, arcs, or other sketch tools.
2. Access the Web Feature: Go to the "Solid" tab in the ribbon. Click on "Create" and select "Web."
3. Select the Sketch Profile: In the canvas, click on the sketch profile you created.
4. Adjust Web Settings: In the Web dialog, configure the following settings:
Thickness Direction: Choose if the web should extrude symmetrically or in one direction.
Start: Specify where the web should start (e.g., from the sketch profile or from a specific face).
Extent Type: Determine how far the web should extend (e.g., to the next face or to a specified distance).
Thickness: Set the thickness of the web. Depth: If you want to control the depth of the web, specify it here.
5. Create the Web: Click "OK" to create the web feature.
