Selecting a profile in a design Table

This is a tutorial requested by Agustin Martinelli . It explain how to select a profile from a design table in solidworks

1. Step 1:

   

   For select a specific profile, go to configuration manager.

   
   

   
   

   
   

2. Step 2:

   

   In the left side you can select an item, For example an UPN 240

3. Step 3:

   

   Then click rigth button of your mouse, show configuration, rigth click. Then the selected profille will be in your screen

   At your left you can see, which profile is selected.

   
   

   
   

5. Step 5:

   

   
   

   If you edit the sketch, you can view the dimensions

6. Step 6:

   

   If you want to have this profile as a separated file, save as,

   
   

   
   

   
   

7. Step 7:

   

   
   

   Then select, save as a copy and open. In this way, you have an independent file with the selected profile. I f you want to change the model design, repeat , the same steps with the new profile
