Sketchup Tutorial: how to open an SKB file

The SKB file is a Sketchup backup format that is automatically generated by the program. This file is saved after setting the Autosave

  1. Step 1:

Have you ever found the Sketchup that you save has an additional extension in the form of an SKB file? that's normal. Because indeed Sketchup will save this format when the user opens it in the application.

By default, the SKB file will automatically be saved in the same folder where you saved the main file (SKP). The contents of the SKB file are of course the same as the main format and there are no changes in terms of the model, texture and component.

To open SKB Sketchup files, you don't need to use additional programs or plugins, just open as usual. But if there are problems you can manually change the extension first.

    Instruction

Can I open a SKB file in a higher version of Sketchup? Of course you can, for example the SKB file that we created in Sketchup 2016, of course we can open it again in a higher Sketchup, for example Sketchup 2020.

hopefully useful and see you in my next post. .
