PTC Creo 4.0: How to create Hole feature

0 0 Beginner
Holes are pick and place features with circular cross-section. Holes remove material from the model. You can create couple of types of holes. In this tutorial you can learn how to Create Simple Straight Holes, Standard Holes and Sketched Holes. I will focus on hole placements (Linear, Radial, Diameter and Coaxial Placement) and Depth Options.

Tutorial 82: Natural Frequencies and Mode Shape of Composite Plate with Hole

1 0 Intermediate
The modal analysis technique is used to determine the vibration characteristics (I,e, Natural frequencies and mode shapes) of linear elastic structures. Our goal is to determine the first 10 natural frequencies and mode shapes for the plate with the hole shown. In this tutorial, first we are going to model simple plate with hole in ACP tools then we are importing model into modal. In the next step, we will have short introduction to modal tools in ANSYS software and do simulation to find natural frequencies and mode shape of composite model. Agenda:  Creating Plate with Hole in ACP  Importing ACP model into modal analysis  Applying boundary conditions  Finding mode shapes

Single Inspection Dimension for Holes

0 0 Beginner
I was having a hard time figuring out a good way to dimension a hole with both the diameter and depth of a hole with GD&T in a singe dimension. This dimension also required inspection so I wanted the inspection circle around the dimension and have the properties linked to the model. I did a lot of searching on the internet and did not find a good solution. Here is my solution. please leave your comments if you have a better way to do this.

Hole series in assembly Solidworks: Why can't I select existing hole to propogate ?

0 0 Intermediate
Sorry, so you are using "Hole Series" from "Assembly Features" by selecting Existing Hole in the first component? FIRST: How do you create the hole in main component, using Cut-Extrude OR Hole Wizard? Second: Existing Hole in Hole series don't work with Cut-Extrude feature, ONLY work with Hole Wizard. Please see my sample. Thanks
