Worked as Mechanical Engineer Intern In Maintenance Department of Absorption Cooling Division of Thermax Limited, India. Got a chance to dismantle and repair machines ranging in size from handheld pneumatic tools to 3-axis CNC drilling machines.

Thermax Limited Production line - Intern January 2006 - June 2006

Worked as Mechanical Engineer Intern on Production line manufacturing Vapor Absorption Chillers in Thermax Limited, India. Got a chance to see in action various manufacturing processes such as CNC drilling, TIG/MIG welding, sheet metal rounding, metal cutting using CNC gas and CNC plasma torch etc.

Caterpillar Inc. Engine Performance Analyst December 2008 - April 2012

• Worked as Diesel Engine Performance Analyst on various Cat diesel engines to develop Engine controls and maps to meet emission requirements of E.P.A. (Tier 4) and other Environmental regulatory bodies • Coordinated and conducted tests on diesel engines and analyzed the data for hardware selection, high altitude capability and to validate simulation results. • Performed engine simulation to estimate emissions and thermodynamic properties. • Co-authored technical paper detailing emissions rating review done on D3512-HD electrical genset engine. • Presented results to customers during weekly meetings. • Underwent Targeted selection interviewer training.



University of Michigan MSE - Mechanical Engineering, MS - Aerospace Science, Thermal Sciences 2006 - 2008

• Designed supersonic nozzle to meet given flow criteria as part of NASA’s project • Conducted CFD analysis to study the flow through nozzle and modified designs accordingly • Used LeMANS CFD code developed at University of Michigan to run simulations on cluster computing servers
