CAD Designer Job Description: Mechanical Engineering 1. Engineering Drawing Creation Create 2D and 3D engineering drawings of machine components using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.). Produce detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded views according to engineering standards. 2. Product Design and Development Design mechanical components and systems based on technical specifications and project requirements. Revise designs based on evaluation results, simulations, or client/engineer requests. 3. Design Analysis and Validation Ensure designs meet manufacturing standards, material strength, tolerances, and safety. Assist in simple analyses such as fitting, clearance, and ease of assembly (DFMA). 4. Engineering Document Creation Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM). Create production drawings, assembly drawings, and machining drawings. Include dimensions, tolerances, welding symbols, and materials.
