Member of team developing next generation automation solutions for fabrication, testing, inspecting and assembly for the SLIVER Solar Cell Technology. Mechanical design of component fixtures, robot tooling heads, robotic cell enclosures, and support of production line equipment. Create and integrate machine vision systems into robotic cells, for inspection and pick and place applications. Develop robot code for proof-of-concept testing and machine development, as well as management of existing code for production and R&D robotic systems. Responsible for continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and debug of R&D robotic systems in preparation for production expansion. Perform Finite Element Analyses to aid in troubleshooting efforts and for product optimization. Collaborate with production team in the development of machine specifications for third-party vendor contracts.
