We declare this one the winner! This version was a significant redesign, which shows some interesting concepts. The loader geometry is improved over our existing one, though full range of motion calculation would have to be produced to assess the functionality. The bucket needs to be moved closer in to the body like the other entries. As right now, this model has inadequate weight balance. Also, while the corner plates are an interesting addition, their structural integrity would have to be assessed properly in CAE analysis - because the XYZ bolt-through pattern is not present here any more. The simple pivot geometry is nice, but it requires the turning cylinder mounting to be completed. Overall, we like the redesign and have some good working points for us to move forward with this one.
We liked the thought here but there is still work to be done. This is a quality rendering. The design improvements from the file provided are still required: fix the bucket cylinder geometry, and simplify the mounting of the 2 main loader arm cylinders on the frame of the cab. Good idea!
This one had the fewest changes, but thanks for participating! All entrants are welcome to our next Microhouse Build at Factor e Farm - see our Blog for updates. http://blog.opensourceecology.org/
