At last I'm back to using Inventor!

I returned to commercial woodworking in 2014 and started using SolidWorks. I was in charge of the data management process as well as software setup, integration and configuration. For what it's worth I still think Inventor is a better tool for commercial woodworking but I'm keeping an eye on OnShape.

I took a break from engineering and started my own business focusing on data management. I spent a lot of time in e-commerce managing product data and synchronizing product databases between the store and various shopping and commercial procurement sites like Ariba, DOD, Amazon, Google, etc.

I wore a lot of hats here including: CAD Systems Administrator (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD) Product Data Management (PDM) Systems Administrator (Autodesk Vault) Engineering Change (ECR) Database Administrator Intranet Administrator (Seattle division) Engineering product for manufacture (store fixtures) Software applications training and support Workstation (PC) setup and troubleshooting

I started my career in commercial woodworking here. I was hired as a CNC programmer and was promoted to engineering manager within a year. I guess I was pretty ambitious.
