Could you please describe here what it is your program does.

As I mentioned in first post, it is suggested to study user manual. Maybe following image describe better. According to your company's procedure for numbering parts, you can define procedure into this application and demand from application to produce part number just by few clicks and apply to your active design.

Previous image is relate to a valve company (Oil & Gas Industry) which part number consist of many parameters and now easily do that and designer dose not need to memorize hundreds of phrase and abbreviations.

So, is this a way of tracking part numbers so that you do not duplicate them, is that what this software is for?

You may design several parts with identical properties but for different projects but, with small changes according to client order. So, application dose not check duplicate part number. But it is possible to set project for each generated part number to check duplicate (It was your idea and I follow). This application is useful for company with numerous designers in which, following numbering procedure (generally long coding) is necessary for big projects (in terms of BOM items).

Now in the application you can define projects and assign coding system to each project then, in code generator form you should select project and generate code. Now application can find if code is duplicated.

New update for better management. Physical path now is saved to database to show user more data and notify user about if file exist or not.

Hello @Tani. Yes but you can use unregistered version to test application. Application is portable and you need to extract zip file and execute application. Next few days I publish application on the web or send by email. Now some small bugs must be fixed. thanks for your comment.

I downloaded the files but there are only two files inside (.gitignore and the README.md file) and there is no executable file. I'm sure I'm missing something, I'll see what you post in the future, but anyway thanks for the reply.

Yes you're right. those files is User Manual just for study the application features and ability. I will upload executable file very soon.
