June 2012 - present
-New product development: conceptual, sketching, designing, engineering, mechanical solutions, 2D and 3D design. Designing new products: Speakers, subwoofers and other electronic equipment and all components related to it
-Work with the development team to generate mechanical hardware designs, solutions and documentation for new products or product revisions
-Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D drawings and schematics or 3D parts, assemblies and technical renderings
-Create physical prototypes of components, subassemblies, and systems to demonstrate that design solutions meet product requirements
Investigate design failures / problems from the prototype phase to regular production
-Create detailed drawings to capture, process, dimensions, inspection and other pertinent engineering information utilizing knowledge of engineering principles and applicable government regulations
-Prepare BOM(Bill of Material) ensure that all designs and work performed meet established Canadian and international standards
-Apply engineering standards and best practices to establish acceptable tolerances, clearances, fits and finishes for parts and assemblies
-Utilize knowledge of various machining processes, fabrication methods, raw materials, standard components, and engineering practices to maximize product value while minimizing product cost.
-Maintain revision control and history on drawings/source files, ensure that any changes are recorded and prepared in accordance with engineering change procedures
-Production processes development;design production fixtures
-Design QC gages
-Design vacuum fixtures for clamping parts with complex geometry and close tolerances
-Create CNC programs for 5-axis milling machines
-Analyzing products to determine the best and most economical way to package a product and ensure its safe transport and arrival
-Leading drop and environmental tests
-Preparing final product presentations for marketing- professional-quality 3D photorealistic renderings
