• Design prototypes to be 3D printing for University of Virginia and external clients.
o Work with clients to determine design parameters and/or use engineering judgement to create prototypes.
• Operate and maintain 3D printers.
o Load CAD files to Fused Deposition Modeling or Polyjet printers and process printed parts. Processing includes water jetting and hydrogen peroxide baths.
o Properly clean and maintain machines to prevent undesired wear.
• Experiment with and implement practices to improve 3D printed part processing
o Determine best practices for high volume parts that reduced time spent processing job orders.
• Obtained SolidWorks Professional Certification (CSWP) in March 2018 & Associate Certification (CSWA) in October 2018.
