Overall Duties -Project management and Organization -Use of project management software -Collaboration and brainstorming on concept ideas and design process Industrial Design -Concept creation and sketching (Photoshop) -Marketing Materials -3D Model and render proposed concepts (Solidworks) -Design mechanical mating components, structural components, enclosures -Prototype and 3d Print design iterations -Design for injection molded plastics Mechanical Engineering - Material selection and design based on structural calculations -Thermodynamic and fluid-dynamic application to design of heat related components. - Iterative FEA and Simulation of Thermal, Structural, Flow, Fatigue and Buckling Loads - Design for intended safety factor. Electrical Engineering -Basic schematic design -PCB layout through the use of Altium Designer -2,4 and 6 layer board design -considerations and experience with ESD protection, Shielding, Radio communications, High Speed Signals (USB), Differential Pairs, Multi-Power planes, Cellular, Analogue signals, Audio processing, SPI, I2C, Serial, Antenna layout. Firmware logic through development environments such as Atmel, PIC, Nordic, Arduino.
