I recently bought this thing to test it out, but I know it's easier to customize when I have a 3d model for it (so I made one!). I am not affiliated with Sainsmart in anyway and I provide this without warranty or guarantee of its accuracy.
Note: The original kit doesn't provide a way to mount the LRS-350-48 PSU, so I hastily designed one (in blue). It's not a great design, but it gets the job done.
Update: I finally figured out how to model the TR8x2 leadscrews so I swapped those out. Additionally, I've added .IGS and .F3D files to compliment the .STP

Nice work on the model. Got my 3020 yesterday and plan to do some proper cable routing prior to first cut, and in the coming weeks build an enclosure with dust collection boot. This model is an awesome starting point, thank you.
Excellent model - thanks so much! I've used this to model up a few mods already: a 65mm spindle bracket and a dust shoe with height adjustment independent from the spindle movement.
Thanks for the model, this made it much easier to design some accessories and an enclosure for it!
