Legos are fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoy modeling them up in SolidWorks. I am amassing a large library of Legos that I've modeled (reverse engineered) on my computer and intend on sharing some of the contents with the users of GrabCAD. I am not sure how much I will upload to GrabCAD but at the moment my focus is to upload some of the more fun minifigure parts and assemblies. If there are specific models/parts/assemblies desired please feel free to request them and I'll add them to my list of parts to model (if I have the Lego pieces in my possession).

work experience

Best Buy Corp. Draftsman November 2007 - May 2008

I remember being thoroughly surprised that Best Buy had an engineering group when they called me for an interview. I worked at Best Buy as a draftsman mostly with fixtures and fixture assemblies while also going to college at NTI. Best Buy is an electronics retail company.

JEM Technical Draftsman & ECO Coordinator May 2008 - May 2014

At JEM I did a lot of the drafting, and was the primary creator of all production drawings. In addition to drafting I managed/coordinated all of the ECOs that went through. At JEM I also assembled hydraulic manifolds, and designed hydraulic manifolds. Each of those jobs I did for about a year on top of my drafting and ECO duties. JEM is a hydraulic manifold distributor.

Symmetry Solutions Application Engineer May 2014 -

At Symmetry Solutions I work in technical support, training classes (in house, on site, and online), give presentations, help customers on site, write technical documentation, and write blogs. Here is a link to the Symmetry Solutions Blog site where I write: Symmetry Solutions is a VAR (Value-Added Resource) and distributor of SolidWorks.

Northwest Technical Institute Engineering Drafting and Design Associates Degree, Engineering and Drafting 2006 - 2008

At NTI we had a year of SolidWorks classes and a year of PRO-E classes. We focused on becoming good drafters and good designers. I highly preferred SolidWorks while in school, and still do out of school.
