3D Printer

What kind of jobs can 3D Printers create in the future?

Accepted answer

Welp... there are a lot of companies looking for Additive Manufacturing (AM) people and building AM teams to reevaluate products and the like, right now. GE's aviation division for instance, has been quite committed to this for some time now. Maybe look into their fuel nozzle design as an example. I'm sure there are videos on YouTube now.
In addition, many companies like GE are looking to lower multiple part assembly costs by creating single-piece AM structures. This gets heavily into reduced weight, reducing losses in difficult/costly casting operations, etc..

Could go into other areas but this is my take on AM 'jobs' on the engineering side of things. It may miss the point in what you're asking though...
