Anyone out there using HiCAD?

I work for a company that is both a fabricator of steel posts and trusses for steel buildings as well as the general contractor that fully assembles the buildings including things like underground piping, HVAC systems, windows and doors etc. We have been using AutoCAD for plant layouts and then SolidWorks to do the 3D modeling of the individual parts and some assemblies. We have been looking at Revit as an option but it doesn't have the options we are looking for on the steel fabrication side. We ran across the ISD HiCAD software and it looks like this software is a decent cross between the 2D and 3D worlds. We reached out to the company and it sounds like we can create very large and detailed plant layouts which is something that SoildWorks can't really handle due to the model becoming too heavy and unusable. This is the major draw to HiCAD since we would really like to see large detailed plant layouts. Does anyone have any experience with HiCAD? I have done some Google searching and it seems like this software is not very well know as there are basically no reviews of it online. Any online training or help also seems very hard to come by. Does anyone have and experience with HiCAD, and what did you think of the software compared to SolidWorks and AutoCAD?
