file search
Dear Sir
I am an old solidworks user with more than 12 years’ experience, previously I wrote a program attached, in C# which could search a part in some solidworks assembly and lists in which assembly it has been used.
But unfortunately this program does not work since 2017 version of solidworks by changing assembly file format.
Would you please help me for solving this problem.

Not an answer to your question, but if you're using SW 2017, you can see where a file is used through the "SolidWorks Explorer":

As of SW 2020, it got replaced with "SolidWorks File Utilities" that can be accessed right from Windows Explorer itself (RMB menu):
