Flatten an elliptical model
Hi everyone,
I have modelled an elliptical model. I now want to make a flat pattern as a template for cutting.
When I'm trying to flatten my oval model in sheetmetal it won't work.
Is there a solution for this problem?

If it is possible, can you export the template for cutting in *.dwg or *.dxf File?

If you want flat pattern for sheet metal It MUST be OPENED, so keep one side at least opened (Not welded or connected) and generate the flat pattern
Very simple. Sheet metal requires you to draw only linear segments and tangent arcs. So here you have only to draw an ellipse at 4 centers.
