How do I explode a iges file using Drafsight.and or Mastercam
I have a drill bit drawing iges format
My mastercam will allow me to import the file,but it comes in a one entity.
I need to be able to explode the the file.

in mastercam you could create separate surfaces on all faces, then create solids from surfaces (choosing targeted surface groups) Ie: all holder surfaces to one holder solid, all drill surfaces to one drill solid. Note: solids will be hollow.
