When i was inside the fellowship of engineer, i used to save the assembly parts in 3D PDF type of file. It could be opened the 3D assembly even just for viewing or presentation purpose. I dont know it feels good

Hello,
As you may know, the .sldasm (meaning Solidworks assembly) is an archive file.
Meaning in it there is not just a single model but an entire assembly with their own .sldprt files.
To solve your problem: Have you tried using Autodesk Fusion 360, that's what I work with. It's free and capable of opening .sldasm files.

while saving in stl in the save as window go to options and select save in a single file
